EGGSHIBITION BROUWERIJ ‘T IJ

My contribution to the Eggshibition at vogelfreiplayground & brouwerijtij. A futuristic take on a real ostrich egg with reference to traditional ceramic aesthetics like Delft blue and gold embellishments.

The swirling blue lines were airbrushed to create soft, abstract impressions of organs, fast food, architecture and surveillance eyes .Seven golden faces express emotions rooted in internet culture: shock, mockery, sadness, hysteria… I sculpted each expression by hand, made silicon molds of them, cast them in resin, and finished them in gold.
